The ProCurve Switch 2610 series consists of five switches—the 2610-24 and 2610-48 provide 24 and 48 por ts of 10/100 connectivity. The 2610-24 is fanless, ensuring quiet operation and making it ideal for deployment in open spaces. The 2610-24/12PWR, 2610-24-PWR, and 2610-48-PWR are IEEE 802.3af-compliant for Power over Ethernet (PoE) and provide up to 15.4 W for 12, 24, and 48 por ts. The 2610-24/12PWR has 24 10/100 ports and provides 12 por ts of PoE. All switches include two 10/100/1000Base-T por ts and two mini-GBIC slots for Gigabit uplink connectivity. An optional redundant external power supply is also available to provide redundancy in the event of a power supply failure. With static routing, robust security and management features, free lifetime warranty, and free software updates, the 2610 series is a cost-effective solution for customers who are building converged enterprise edge networks.

ProCurve Manager Plus 2.3 is a secure, advanced Windows®-based network management platform that allows administrators to configure, update, monitor, and troubleshoot ProCurve devices centrally with easy-to-use information-rich screens. The administrator can enable policies that will take automated actions in response to network events from a variety of sources. The software can run on its own or with HP OpenView Network Node Manager integration, allowing administrators to monitor multivendor networks while leveraging ProCurve specific Adaptive EDGE management functions. ProCurve Manager Plus can be enhanced with plug-in modules, such as ProCurve Network Immunity Manager, Identity Driven Manager, and Mobility Manager. ProCurve Manager Plus can also integrate base management for third-par ty devices.

As a plug-in software module for ProCurve Manager Plus, this powerful tool provides visualization of predictive RF coverage and location of wireless LAN infrastructure, unmanaged (rogue) access points, and wireless clients as part of an overlay to imported floor plans. Monitoring network health is easy with an integrated, single-screen dashboard providing device or network-wide wireless network utilization and client activity. With ProCurve Mobility Manager 2.0 integrated seamlessly into ProCurve Manager Plus, network administrators can easily manage their wireless and wired network from a common, unified network management console.

The ProCurve Network Immunity Manager is a plug-in for ProCurve Manager Plus that detects and automatically responds to threats, such as virus attacks, inside the network. This security management tool monitors devices across the network for internal network attacks and allows administrators to set detection and response security policies. It leverages security and traffic-monitoring features built into ProCurve switches with the ProVision ASIC, such as sFlow, Virus Throttle, and remote mirroring technologies, and it per forms NBAD (Network Behavior Anomaly Detection) to detect attacks. Optionally, it remotely mirrors suspect traffic to an IDS/IPS/UTM appliance for virus signature file matching to provide administrators with broad coverage against malicious attacks and a rich set of attack-mitigation and offender-tracking capabilities. This easy-to-use security management tool provides visibility into virus activity on the network and helps administrators maximize network availability for both wired and wireless networks.
